NEST Analysis – Look for Kearney Catholic to be much improved heading into the 2021 season. A trio of experienced players provide the Shamrocks with an on-field boost. Previous Season Accomplishments – 2019 Class B State Qualifier

NEST Analysis – Although lacking individual name recognition for now, Hastings is a program that looks to contend in 2021. Many programs aim for the current position of Hastings, as they have posted back to back eleven win seasons. Even more impressive is that this achievement is due to a complete team effort, not just a singular player. Opponents will soon find out that playing this team, especially in Hastings, is no easy task. This is a program that routinely punches above their expected weight. As the season progresses, players are sure to emerge, and we will be there to cover them. A standard of performance has been set in Central Nebraska. Hastings will begin the season the #7 ranked team in Class B.

While many might not immediately recognize the skill level, their opponents certainly will once the ball is in play. Earning a double figure win total in 2019 is an impressive milestone and sets the expectation for the future. To truly garner the attention of Class B, this program looks to showcase themselves at the state tournament in May. For the 2021 season, Gering will begin as the #8 team in Class B. From the Metro to Western Nebraska, the game of soccer is being played at a high level.

NEST Analysis – After a dream run in 2018, the Schuyler boys were unable to make a follow up trip to Morrison in 2019. Despite that fact, this is still a highly competitive program filled with talented pieces. Those players will receive a proper soccer education from a well respected staff. Coach Beebe has implemented an aggressive and fast paced style of play that unveils individual ability. His players are at their best when in the open field and on the attack. However, squad depth and defending are unknowns going into the 2021 season. Those questions will need to be answered before they can be considered a full-on contender. For right now, Schuyler is a dark horse for the state tournament and has been listed as a Team on the Verge by Nebraska Soccer Talk.

NEST Analysis – Platteview is a growing program that is now under the direction of a new head coach. Mark McLaughlin will be pulling double duty for Platteview as he is also the head football coach. Luckily, Coach McLaughlin has a solid soccer background and will serve as a good resource for this school. Additionally, a promising group of core returners will bolster the chances of the Trojans. It should also be noted that Springfield-Platteview has exceptional facilities considering the size of this school. Those facilities can be utilized to better develop incoming players and create excitement around the program. With new dynamics and quality experience, the future is bright for Platteview boys soccer.
