4/14/25 Rankings

I can’t believe it but we are already a month away from the state tournament. The spring always flies by so incredibly fast. So, I have another challenge to issue to you this week. Go out to a local soccer game and take a selfie. With that picture, upload it to social media and tag us @nebraska_talk on X and @nesoccertalk on Instagram with #SoccerTalk. All of us here at NEST will try to do the same. Bonus points to all the soccer players out there who can get a selfie with members of the team you just faced, after all, we are one soccer community. I’ll even share some of my favorites in next week’s rankings update.

Also, as you might know, Jack, Fisher and I talk through the rankings every Sunday. You might not know that some decisions are tough for us to make as we can’t watch every game. In fact, this week we had to pull out a coin and flip it to settle a vote. As much as we try to predict games and rank teams, it’s never going to go exactly the way we think. But, that is what makes the games even more exciting. They are never decided on paper, you play 80 minutes (and sometimes extra time) on the field for a reason.
